, how are you?
Hope you've had a good week.
I hope I'm busy.
I've been busy this week with wedding cakes, getting back into the swing of things. Nice and gently.
So this week was a three tier semular cake and it looked absolutely beautiful.
The big thing was that when I got to the venue to set it up, it was placed in front of a full walled mirror, like full wall of mirror.
So try to get any decent pictures was near enough impossible, because I was either in the reflection or somebody else's in the reflection, you know, when they' a bender who whist setting up their bits and pieces or somebody from the venue itself.
But I did manage to get a couple and it looked absolutely beautiful and I managed to catch a glimpse of the bride and her wedding dress as well, which is just one of my favourite parts.
I very rarely get to see the couple on the day of their wedding, so it really is beautiful when I get to see them, but it was just the bride, but she popped down to sort of have a quick look around in.
It was a photographer taking a picture of her wedding dress, which she was hanging up on the wall, so it was absolutely beautiful.
So, yes, it has been full on over here, but I wanted to pop into your beers with a very quick episode.
That is part update and part tap talk, and definitely one that you're gonna want to listen to if you are thinking about taking your cake business seriously this year.
So first up, I've got exciting news.
I am going to be at Cake International this year in November, and I would absolutely love to see you there.
So if you are in the UK, you've probably heard of Cake International, so it is one of the biggest cake exhibitions I would say, I think arguably in the world, but it's certainly the biggest in the UK.
I hope for 20,000 people go through the doors over the three days that it's opened.
So this year it's open from Friday, the 31st of October to 2nd of November, so Friday to Sunday .
It's humungous. And people from all over the world go to cake International every year.
You know, there's a very, very large sort of competition with so many different categories, which I am going to be entering as well.
I entered that once back in 2017 and I got bronze, which I was super happy with and I've not done it since.
So I am going to do that because I'm going to be there anyway, which I'm going to tell you about, but because I'm going to be there anyway , I'm also going to enter the competition.
But basically, in November, I've got my own stand, which is wild to even say, out loud.
It is something that I have dreamed of for ages and now it's actually happening.
So I will have a stand inside the exhibition for the full three days, so you are able to come over, see what I am all about. Meet me in person .
Oh, it's just going to be amazing.
I honestly can't wait to see so many people there.
But even more exciting.
And I'm going to be running a confident cake business mindset workshop live at the show, live in person on stage.
It's crazy just to think that I'm going to be doing this in November and I have never done anything live in person before, so slightly nervous already, and we've still got another, I don't know. Four, five, six months to go.
So, yeah, but I'm super excited.
So it is a two hour workshop, and it's designed to help you build a stronger mindset, boost yourself belief, and just feels so much more confident in how you show up in your business .
You know, if you've ever struggled with, like, comparison, imposter syndrome, or just that feeling of like, I'm not ready yet, then this session is going to be a game changer.
We're gonna talk through real strategies for managing your time, your energy, setting pad for gold , and creating that consistent momentum.
Even when you feel stuck or overwhelmed, I am going to be working you through exercises from a really beautifully designed workbook that I've created just for this session .
It blends mindset, mindfulness, and practical business grows tips.
And it is designed specifically for cake makers like you.
So you are, you know, if you join me, you're going to leave feeling really calm and clear and ready to move forward with purpose.
Whether your brand new cakes or you've been doing this for years, but you're ready to take it upper level .
This is for you.
So, if you are coming into the show, I would love for you to come and see me on my stand.
Now, the workshop is a paid workshop, but I don't have the information .
Tickets aren't quite available yet.
It has literally only been confirmed this week, so tickets aren't available on the website yet, but they will be, hopefully by the end of this week, up on the Cape International website, but as soon as I've got those details, I will share them with you and like how to book.
But yeah, so really, really, really exciting.
So now, let's talk about something that I think doesn't get spoken about enough in the cake world, and that is investing in yourself and your business.
Now, I know that the word "investing can sound a little bit scary.
It makes you think of spending lots of money on big risky decisions.
But investing doesn't always mean spending thousands of pounds or completely changing your life overnight.
Sometimes, investing in yourself looks like choosing to believe that your business is worth building, that you are worth backing.
It's deciding to treat your business like it actually matters.
You know, even if you're not fully booked at, even if it's still mostly friends and family who are ordering your cakes, even if you still have doubts creeping in, because here's the thing, no one else will take your business seriously until you do. And investing in it, whether that's investing your time, your money, your focus, or your energy, it's how you build that belief in yourself, how you send the message that this is not just a hobby.
This is something.
I am building for real.
Now, I've spoken to so many Cmakers who say things like, I'll start showing my cakes on social media when I have more orders.
Or I'm going to start working out my prices a bit better or maybe, you, raise my prices, when I'm a little bit busier, or something like, I will invest in help when I'm earning more money.
But that's the mindset that keeps you stuck.
It's like waiting for confidence to magically appear before you've done anything that would actually build it.
And the truth is that investing comes before the results , it's not the reward, it's the catalyst.
You know, when I first started investing in myself, it was terrifying.
The first course I ever bought felt like a really huge stretch.
I didn't feel ready.
And I kept thinking, "What if it doesn't work?
What if I've wasted my money?
But what I've learnt is that just making that decision alone to say yes to myself, yes, to my growth, that was the thing that shifted everything.
I showed up differently.
I took it seriously, because I'd spent the money, I took it seriously .
I believed in myself more because I had skin in the game.
And that's why I'm such a big believer in spaces that support your growth.
Not just tell you what to do, but help you actually believe that you can do it .
And that's what I've built inside the confident cake Collective.
It's not just business tutorials and templates, although, obviously, you do get those, of course.
It's a place where you can feel encouraged, where you can feel grounded and supported whilst you grow, is where you can ask the questions that you are too embarrassed to ask in public.
It's where you can admit that you're struggling and know that you're not going to get judged.
It's where you can stop googling everything.
Stop winging it and find me build your business with intention.
You know, and it's not just for people who have been doing this for years.
It's especially for cake makers who are still figuring it all out, who feel like they're meant for more , but don't quite know what steps to take next.
You know, if you've been feeling like you are working really hard, but you're not getting the results that you want, if you know deep down, you want to grow , but keep holding yourself back, this is your invitation to stop doing it alone.
Your business can only grow as much as you do, and I promise the moment you start backing yourself, everything changes .
So if you are listening to this on Tuesday or Wednesday, so Tuesday, the 6th of May and Wednesday the 7th of May, the doors to the confident keep Collective are still open, but not for long.
They do close at midnight on Wednesday the 7th and after that we'll go back to our closed group and just continue our work together.
So this is your moment .

This membership is about building you as a person, and building your business.
And so I would love to welcome you in.

And when you do start backing yourself, that's when things really shift.
